Legal
Last updated 26 August 2026. This page explains what information we collect through pilargo.io, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it — including specific rights for California residents and residents of other U.S. states.
Scope
This Privacy Policy describes the practices of Pilargo Foundation™ (“Pilargo,” “we,” “us”) for the website at pilargo.io, including the wholesale enquiry form. It does not cover the separate agreement a licensed clinic or institution signs with us to actually purchase product — that's governed by the terms of that specific agreement.
We're a wholesale supplier to licensed clinics and research institutions. We don't collect information from patients through this site, and nothing on it is directed at the general public.
Collection
| Category | What it includes | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Contact & practice details | Name, email, practice or institution name, country, licence or registration number (if you provide one), estimated order volume | Submitted directly by you, via the wholesale enquiry form |
| Your message | Whatever you write describing the documentation you need to review | Submitted directly by you |
| Technical data | IP address, submission timestamp | Collected automatically when the enquiry form is submitted |
| Standard web logs | Browser type, pages visited, general access logs | Collected automatically by our hosting provider for all visitors |
What we don't collect
We don't take payment information through this site. A wholesale purchase is handled through a separate agreement and invoicing process directly with the receiving practice, not through pilargo.io.
Use
Respond
To send current wholesale terms, a sample Certificate of Analysis, and answer the questions you asked.
Verify
We supply licensed clinics and research institutions — not individuals or the general public.
Records
Correspondence about an investigational biological product is retained as part of our own recordkeeping practice.
Security
Basic anti-spam checks — a hidden field, a minimum time on the page — run before a submission reaches us.
We don't use the information you submit for advertising, and we don't build a marketing profile of you.
Sharing & third parties
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — and we haven't done either in the twelve months before this policy's last-updated date above.
We share information only where it's genuinely needed to run the site and respond to you: with our email and hosting provider, solely to deliver your enquiry to us; with legal, accounting or similar advisors where necessary; if required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process — for example, a request from a regulator overseeing investigational biological products; or with a successor entity, if Pilargo Foundation is ever acquired by or merged with another organisation.
Third-party content on this site
This site embeds YouTube videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced (“no cookie”) mode, which limits tracking unless you press play — once you do, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy. Page fonts load from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers. We don't control either service's data practices.
Retention & security
We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary for our business records and any applicable legal or regulatory recordkeeping obligation, then delete or anonymise it.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Wherever you're writing to us from, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing support@pilargo.io. We'll respond within a reasonable time, and in any case within the time required by law where a specific state privacy law applies to your request.
California residents
If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you specific rights over the personal information a business collects about you. We describe those rights below and how to exercise them, regardless of whether Pilargo currently meets the CCPA's applicability thresholds.
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| Right to know | Ask what personal information we've collected, used, or disclosed about you in the past 12 months. |
| Right to delete | Ask us to delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions. |
| Right to correct | Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you. |
| Right to opt out of sale/sharing | We don't sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, so there's nothing to opt out of — but you may still submit a request and we'll confirm that in writing. |
| Right to limit sensitive personal information | We don't collect Social Security numbers, financial account details, precise geolocation, or other “sensitive personal information” as the CCPA defines it. |
| Right to non-discrimination | We won't deny you service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights. |
How to submit a request
Email support@pilargo.io with the subject line “California Privacy Request,” or write to us at 830 S Main St Ste 2I, Cottonwood, AZ 86326. To protect your information, we'll verify your identity — typically by confirming the request comes from the email address on file — before responding. You may designate an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask for written proof of that authorisation.
California's “Shine the Light” law
California Civil Code § 1798.83 lets California residents ask what personal information we've disclosed to third parties for those third parties' own direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. We don't disclose personal information for third-party direct marketing, so there's nothing to report — you're welcome to ask us to confirm that in writing.
Other states
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and a growing number of other states have enacted their own consumer privacy laws with broadly similar rights — to know, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of your information. If you're located in one of these states, the same access, correction and deletion process described above applies: email support@pilargo.io.
International visitors
Pilargo Foundation is based in Arizona, USA, and any information you send us is processed and stored in the United States. If you're contacting us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere and believe a different privacy framework applies to your request, say so in your message and we'll work with you on it.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for licensed medical professionals and research institutions, not for children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do. We don't currently maintain a mailing list to notify past visitors directly, so please check back periodically.
